We have been through On-Shore/Local Sourcing, Off shore Sourcing and Outsourcing, now let’s enter the world of Rural Outsourcing, the new model built on same concept of outsourcing model just that this new model gets even cheaper and taps into 1 million population in India.
Why this is such a big deal?
Well think about this if jobs exist in cities such as Bangalore, Mumbai and other cities, people would flock from outside places to such cities driving cost and that would be affecting the outsourcing customers indirectly, so now companies like “RuralShores” are bring outsourcing work to rural where people live so they can work in their village/ville and cut their expense by half and earn more staying local which would be highly competitive now with city based outsourcing companies like Wipro and Infosys.
But again time decitates whether rural outsourcing can enter the mainstream of BPO (Business Process) or just data center processing, something to watch in Outsourcing models.
